POSITIVE PRINCIPLES FOR PROPER
PRACTICE
It is my humble prayer that this mini-series of studies from God great book of "Principles",(Or "Fundamental Truths") as it were, would be of some kind of help as we try to grow in grace and knowledge of God's Holy will for our lives. As with all the material I or any other man may present for your spiritual welfare, you would be wise to honestly compare these thoughts to the very Scriptures themselves to see whether these things be so. (Acts 17:11) If you
find me to be in error, or if you disagree on any point; --- PLEASE let
me know!!
Our final principle is the principle of EVANGELISM !! So, one
of the questions I must ask before I decide where I'm going, or what I'm
going to do is;---"Will this hinder my influence in teaching others about
the good news of Christ??"
Did you know, brothers that as Christians, you are to be gentlemen?? Did you
know dear sisters that you ought to so dress--- that no one will think
you are a Christian by the way you dress, --- But they won't be surprised
you are, when they find out?? You don't go around
with some kind of black robe on; --- You can be fresh and sweet and
pretty; but you will be dressed modestly!
Every Christian, male or female, young or old; --- you are to so act and so talk and so dress; ---that by your lives, doors will be thrown open for you to teach others of the "Old Old Story"; ---about the sacrifice of the very Son of God!! Let's get practical for a moment;--- I've known of some Christians whose meager attempts to teach others on the job or at school, etc. ; --- have completely "bombed out"--- WHY?? Simply because they were always so "cranky"! Perhaps some of you are "worry warts"--- You go around all the time, worry, worry, worry; ---And then one day when things just happen to go well, you decide you are going to teach another about the love of God!! Now, how do you think it comes across to others; --- YOU worrying all the time, and now your trying to teach me to trust in and depend on God??? You see? You tell or listen to a dirty joke and then you think you can just turn around and tell others of the Pure Lamb of God being lead as a sheep to the slaughter?? Doesn't work that way! You gossip about somebody or harbor ill will; and then you think you can turn around and tell others about God's perfect love for them??? They don't want to hear it; --- not from YOU! You see; --- The real Christian is to SO LIVE, that the way he lives everyday, everywhere, -- he or she can be the kind of soul-winner the Lord would appreciate and multiply his good fruits! A great
old hymn we sing; ---
You see;
--- We're it, --- The sinful, lost world is looking at YOU and ME!
They're looking at us and what do they see?? The Principle of evangelism;
--- Look at it again; ---

talked about SIX POWERFUL &
1. EXPEDIENCY: --- Wise choices we make to help us on our way to serve God and go to heaven. 2. ENSLAVEMENT: --- I will not allow anyone or anything to rule over me that is contrary to the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. 3. EXAMPLE: --- Whatever I do in word or deed, I must consider; --- "Would Jesus do it?" 4. EDIFICATION: --- We must ever strive to be the kind of Christian that, when others leave our presence, they are going to be encouraged to love the Lord a little more. 5. EXALTATION: --- Do the
things I find pleasure in glorify the name above all names; Jesus
6. EVANGELISM: --- I must
ask; "Will this in any way hinder my influence in teaching others
****************************************************** It is my sincere prayer that we all can take these great God given principles and apply them in our everyday lives. BUT my
dear friend, NO ONE is going to "BEHAVE" themselves into heaven!
Before
you can "behave" the gospel, you must first believe and obey the gospel
of our Savior, Jesus Christ! You must first become a Christian, before
you can live the Christian life and be blessed for it! The REAL Christian
is a person who enjoys a vital PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ,
day by day, --- by day, --- by day!!
What I'm saying is; --- It's not just knowing about Him, --- But knowing Him --- through faith and humble obedience to His word!! I John 2:3-6 --- The Bible plainly says; --- "And by this we know that we have come to know Him, IF we keep His commandments. The one who says, 'I have come to know Him', and does not keep His commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is not in him; ---BUT whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him; --- The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner that He walked." Do YOU know Him?
Jesus said; --- "Come to
Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
The Holy Spirit said; ---
"without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God
MUST BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
The apostle Paul speaks; --- "Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that ALL everywhere should REPENT,--" Acts 17:30 Again Paul declares; ---
"The word of faith which we are preaching, --- that if you
Saul of Tarsus was told;
--- "And now why do you delay? --- Arise and be BAPTIZED, (WHY?)
IF JESUS WERE TO COME TONIGHT; OR (God forbid) IF YOU WERE TO DIE TONIGHT;--- HAVE YOU TRULY, SURRENDERED ALL???
